New Year Beginnnings - Be it a Bit Late!

Image
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year! I know, I know it's February! For me it was really quiet, New Years eve was spent at home watching movies on TV! Not that I really minded, it was nice to sit down and write down what I wanted for the year coming up. I had 3 new starts for this year, yes 3! Like I need more WIPs! Though there isn't much to show on these hence no photos. I also had 2 finishes so far, hooray!!! Pattini d' Argento By Cuore e Batticuore Stitched on 32-count natural Belfast Linen Recommended Floss Parisian Street Scene By Maria Diaz 28-count Lugana Recommended Floss I don't know when I started these exactly but they are now finished! Another update on Italian View Before-  After- Lately I have been watching Stargate Atlantis, unfortunately they only made 5 seasons of this but it is my absolute favourite! Yes the christmas tree is up! No presents under the tree yet is that is my job for this weekend! I am also toying with the idea of a tree skirt, has anybody stitched one? If you have, do they look good? Also coming along well is my Christmas project Before: After: Pattini d'Argento By Cuore e Batticuore Hopefully and fingers crossed I may have this finished before Christmas? Maybe... We have had some very hot days here the last 2 weeks, 30+ degree days which is nice but I'm always inside at work! :(  boohoo...hopefully the weekend is nice and hot. I have 3 more weeks of work before the Christmas break which I am very much looking forward to. I have stitching, walking, cycling and more stitching planned on my time off and I can't wait!!! Here is Gingalicious enjoying the sun... Happy stitching  Michelle

I spend 10 days over Christmas and New Year in Sydney with some friends which was really nice and relaxing. I even managed to do quite a bit of stitching then too! We even had a very friendly kookaburra that comes to visit and you can get so close to him and just about feed him by hand. I went back to work on the 6th January, but I will have a longer break in April while my boss is away, and I will be kitty sitting for my parents when they go away. Its a great excuse to sit around and stitch all day and catch up on all the TV programmes I miss! Anyway here is my progress: Multiplication Sampler- Before After It's nearly there! I think last time I forgot to post a photo of my finish of the Beatrix Potter Alphabet, so here it is- Lastly I was reading a fabulous blog called My French Country Home  by Sharon Santoni, full of all thi...
