Egypt and Egyptian Garden Mandala

In March I went to Egypt. This had been on my list of places to visit for a long time, and I absolutely loved it! The view from the hotel room, you can imagine how excited I was when I saw that view! The wonderful Egyptian Museum  We spend 4 fabulous day on a Nile cruise Me in my galabia Anyway on to stitching, and since I had been to Egypt, I had to start my Egyptian Garden Mandala by Chatelaine Designs. I have been rather remiss in my posting so I shall try harder! I do enjoy watching flosstube though, maybe one day I will do my own. I am going back to Egypt in December so I am very excited about that! Happy stitching! Michelle

Stash Enhancement

I have been busy buying a "few" things recently and here they are! Nina Threads I got the pink thread for the Mirabilia chart Wherefore Art Thou which is all done in specialty threads. I had never heard of Nina's Threads so I had a look at her Etsy shop and she has some lovely threads and fabric Etsy shop: NinaHandDyed Next is some Primitive Hare charts and pins and finally some Lavender & Lace and Butternut Road charts from Trade Me at $4 each! bargin Until next time, happy stitching! Chenonceau Finished!

Finally it's finished!!! Chenonceau Loire Castle By Chatelaine Designs I started this in July 2016, so in the scheme of things it didn't really take me too long (I am a slow stitcher and have 1000 other WIPs as well) Of to get it framed now and I think I will get out my Lake Como Mandala and do some of that. Progress so far... Happy stitching! Michelle 

New Starts, WIPs and Finishes...

Finishes?? Well no, not exactly. Chenonceau is finished except for beads, photo to come later. However I have had good progress on The Met by Mirabilia Early Americans series by Little House Needleworks, I'm doing this as one big piece Moroccan Town by Chatelaine, sadly the designer Martina Rosenberg passed away in December and she will be greatly missed by all Chatelaine stitchers Christmas at the Villa by Madeleine Findley Let Freedom Ring by Lilia's Studio, this was my Christmas Eve start and finally Christmas At Hawk Run Hollow by Carriage House Samplings, my New Years start, I'm using NPI silks for this Stash was from the Glendon Place sale, I love these charts! I also got this framed (after finishing it in 2015!) Pattini d' Argento by Cuore e Batticuore I should be able to post a photo of my finished Chenonceau next time as there aren't that many beads to put on. Happy stitching! Michelle
